Calibrating your monitor
Recommended resolution:
1280 x 1024 x 32-bit
Use the color gradients provided to calibrate your monitor for the best possible viewing experience.
Ideally, each of the color gradient should appear as a smooth and gradual transition from a solid color to white.
If you do not see this, then you can follow the instructions below to try to improve your monitor's color depth.
Click on
Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display > Settings
Then set your color to (depending on your Windows version):
True color 16777216, or
True color 24-bit, or
True color 32-bit
Windows 2000 Professional and Windows XP Professional has an added feature
for color calibration.
While still in the "Settings" tab, go to Advanced > Color Management.
Click "Add", and then select your color profile, which will provide color correction on your monitor.
Load the profile, then click "Set As Default", click "Apply", and then click "OK" to finish the process.
